Why Linkedin + Tiktok = Superengagement

I have a confession to make.

I really loved creating Tiktok videos and only got back to Linkedin due to their push for creators.

Linkedin for me was like dead silent for years until they started to get it that people need creative content to engage. Now I am full throttle !

Linkedin used to be a boring place. Just scrolling through the feed to search for jobs. The people there looked like static boring professors - pretty much lifeless in terms of a page .

Now, I did start with Tiktok last year upon the urging of my millenial coteacher. I relented but after seeing his funny videos , I thought this was something that was just fun to do.

Mind you , doing videos is a labor intensive thing. Filming editing and publishing could take dayssssssssssssss....

But TIKTOK changed the game.

This is what i found out as TikTok has solved so much of my woes after doing videos online.

1. Tiktok is a great app where you can edit your short videos right on the spot .

2. WIth Tiktok you have all these cinematic effects and even without much makeup on you can have movie star looks within seconds

3. You can download and share it fast to Facebook , Linkedin and You tube - easily shareable.

Why Tiktok has been so successful

Short-Form Video Entertainment

One of the main reasons why TikTok has been so successful, is because it emphasizes the one piece of content that gets the most engagement – short-form videos.

Whether it be on Twitter, LinkedIn or Instagram, creative short-form videos always grab users’ attention when scrolling across the timeline. TikTok’s functionalities differ from their competitors, as users can lip-sync their favorites songs, television lines and copy a dance routine of their choice.

Short-form is really the keyword, as clips can be up to 15 seconds long. Compared with the likes of Instagram, 15 seconds is pretty short – something that can take some time to get used to in the early stages of using it. However, this allows users to consume more content quickly.

Another reason why TikTok has been such a success is the variety of content users are able to download and share. Influencers have also been taking to the application to share content that is relevant to their demographic.

TikTok caters to those who have interests in just about anything, including: Humor, music, sports, travel, cooking, dance and photography.

As the biggest draw of social media use is entertainment-driven content, you can also find your fair share of educational and businesses-oriented content on TikTok.
